01 - Pourquoi utilises-tu la RM1x, seulement pour le sequenceur; ou aussi pour les sons ? Je ne l'utilise plus, elle est morte !
 02 - Quels sons utilises-tu le plus: bd, sd, percus, synth bass, sfx,etc ? Quand j'avais une RM, le canal gauche etais toujours la rythmique et le canal droit les sons. Tout ca ensuite mixé en 2 canaux mono sur un mixer pour avoir plus de control sur l'image sonore generale

Une procedure general etait de balancer la plupart des sons punchy (kik clap etc) dans l'effet "amp simulator" avec l'overdrive tres bas : Cette technique permettait de faire jouer la machine deux fois plus fort, une solution altrernative pour le kick etait d'utiliser le chorus avec le delay a 0ms et le mod speed off, avec un gros feedback: oops le caisson est a moitie cramé!!!!! tu vois ske'j'veux dire ?

03 - Est-ce qu'il y a un sequenceur qui te ferait oublier la rm1x: xl7, rs7000, mc909 ? Pour moi cela depend combien de personne il y a autour de moi lorsque je joue / travaille: a la maison j'ai un studio virtuel comprenant une table de mixe numerique, une Creamware Pulsar 2, et un P4 overclocké a 2,7 ghz qui fait tourner Cubase SX, Reason 2, Kontakt, quelques freeware tout les synth + fx distribues avec la carte son, maintenant en utilisant cette config j'ai besoin d'une concentration complete et je prefere avoir 2 personnes max dans les environs lors du deroulement (un collaborateur et un preparateur de coktails? ), c'est assurement mon meilleur environnement musical preferre (dans la machine j'veux dire, mais le reste est cool aussi) maintenant la derniere chose que je ferais lors d'une teuf/concert est de laisser un dancefloor entier entre les mains d'un PC sous microsoft, la ou tout peut mal tourner et le fait souvent. Ok, alors trouve moi un sequenceur hardware pour remplacer un pc/mac/atari qui NE SOIT PAS une rm1x, xL/mp-7, rs7000, mc303 / 505 / 308 / 909. Et meme si tu le faisais, on parle alors de trimbaler des camions de samplers rack, synthetiseurs, 3 heures a tout brancher pour pouvoir jouer 1h30-3hr maximum (tout le monde doit avoir son tour et trop d'organisateurs pensent que 10 live sur un flyer est ce qui ramene du peuple - FAUX!). Les portables pour moi n'en font pas assez pour l'instant, et laissent le pouvoir ulitme de tout foutre en l'air a quelqu'un d'autre, ce qui revient pour moi a redescendre au facteur versatil - J'ai suivi l'evolution des " groovebox" depuis le jour 1, je peux faire instatenement des choses avec qui me prendraient une nuit entiere a programmer sur n'importe quoi d'autre, et elles sont assez bon marche pour etre remplace dans la semaine (et balancer a la tete d'un policier/vigile d'entree/organisateur de club) si tout doit mal tourner
04 combien de rm1x as tu tue durant ta carriere ? qu'est ce qui pete en premier : les controlleurs, mutes, circuits intenres ? l'ecran ? JOLI, JOLI!!!!!!!!!!!! J'AIME cette question!!!!!! est-ce qu'on peut aller voir roland/yamaha avec celle-la????

Ok, la premiere chose qui lache sur n'importe quel "groovebox" que j'ai pu avoir c'est les boutons, normalement le bouton start/restart en premier, ensuite les mutes, puis le clavier. ca peut aller quand tu peux contourner le probleme, demarrer en ssynchro, changer les patterns mais il est impossible d'ecrire des nouvelles choses dedans. Ca prend 45 minutes pour demonter une rm1x, changer les boutons du dessus peut se faire avec un fer a souder de bonne qualite, et ressemble un peu au moment crucial du desarmocage de la bombe dans n'importe quel scene d'un film hollywoodiens (ne pas respirer!!!), la remonter est faisable si tu as dessine un diagramme avant mais comme tout les connecteurs *** sont de tailles differentes tu devrais eventuellement pouvoir t'en sortir. SE PROCURER DES NOUVEAUX BOUTONS POUR CES MACHINES EST IMPOSSIBLE POUR UN CLIENT COMME TOI ET MOI !!!!!!!!!! Donc vous tous, allez vous faire pote avec votre magasin de musique local des maintenant !!!! ou adressez ces problemes au forum de la machine choisie. Cela m'a pris 9 mois pour moi pour recevoir 75 boutons de remplacement pour ma rm1x. Je me demande bien ce qu'il va se passer avec le rs7000.

05 - when you're composing at home, do you use cubase (then put them in the machine), or directly on the machine ? Non, Ma vie de studio et mon live set sont des affaires totalement separes, de la meme maniere on emporte pas notre vie sexuelle au travail avec nous ????
06 - Why are you using the Korg ER1? Is it because of the price ? Why not the Jomox Xbase 09 that sound more pro? Oh j'ai une jomox aibase 99 rack a la maison. Je trouve l'electribe rouge plus conviviale dans un environnement live, tout est sauvegarde dans le pattern en cours. La globalite de la partie patt/prog de la jomox xbase 09 est cool, mais trop confu pour moi pour une bonne prise en main un vendredi/samedi soir a cote de 10kw - 50kw de son, et generalement je n'ai pas de source fixe pour mon pied etc, si tu ne peux pas faire sortir ce que tu veux d'une de tes machines , il y a une boite dans ton set qui n'est pas ton ami!
07 - how much time do you spend on the machines during week Je prefere ecrire les patterns de live lorsque je me deplace, donc une bonne journee de train ou de calage chez quelqu'un d'autre avant ou apres une fete est normalement la ou je fais un pattern ou deux. A la maison je tend plus a travailler sur des prods studio, ou editer un peu sur une partie de live qui sonne bien. J'ecris pour mon liveset chez moi lorsque j'ai de longs breaks entre les dates, ou quand j'ai remplace quelque chose. Tout cela dependant bien sur aussi de la maniere dont toutes les machines fonctionnent. Remplissez les avant qu'elles cassent !!! c'est ce que je dis.
08 - Qu'est-ce qu'un artiste underground comme toi peut bien apprecier en dehors de la scene undeground ? Jungle D&b, Tekno & Hardocre?

Je ne comprends pas la question, il y a des outils dans mon opinion qui aide a faire l'experience complete et devrait etre traite en tant que tel- trop d'une seule drogue te detruira.

09- Parfois en live as-tu un song complet dans une machine, ou c'est toujours des boucles ? C'est un melange des deux: J'utilises des boucles dans les machines, mais mon corps et mon esprit apres quelques semaines de jeu avec le nouveau set de patterns se travaille une sequence selon laquelle le materiel de boucles entre et sorts du mix, ce qui fait fait la base du repertoire: *** est inutile sans direction, en revanche plus jouer les patterns est inutile sans une idee de "comment se deroule le song". Ceci vient evidement de l'experience avec les sources patterns - en bref ? Les machines on les patterns, je joue les morceaux.
10 - Lorsque tu joues avec quelqu'un d'autre, synchronisez vous les machines en midi ? PLus du tout.
11 - Quel est ta configuration actuelle ? As tu une photo de ton studio ? Pas de Photo, pas vraiment grand chose a voir, le home-studio: un PC, une table de mixage digitale, un controller midi, un clavier midi a moitie mort, 2 enceintes au dessus d'une pile de "pages jaunes", quelques cables ? Tables? RUGS et coussins. Le live set: une yamaha RS7000, un emu XL-7, une table de mixage embarrassante en dessous du standart, bien trop gros pour ce que ca fait, il faut absolument que j'installe cette mackie - apparament quelqu'un peut le faire pour 2 bouteilles de whisky SINGLE MALT! une pedale de delay line 6 modeller (avec un mode "enhanced echoplex"! Ouais les SPINBACKS sont de retour!)

Carte son a la maison ? Creamware pulsar xtc avec un boitier E/S attache. Table de mixage du studio: Yamaha 01v, je l'ai chope grace a un SCAM fait au paradis. Merci Juan Carmona!

01 - Peux-tu te presenter pour les personnes qui ne te connaissent pas ? Salut. Mon nom est s1mOn. Je m'entraine pour etre un docteur sorcier. Les outils que j'utilise generent du son. Couple a un sound system assez puissant je peux utiliser les vibrations de ces outils pour faire bouger les corps des gens de maniere positive. Mettre du son dans un corps peux ameliorer son etat d'esprit. Un etat d'esprit ameliore peux aider a garder un corps en bonne sante. Une bonne sante et un bon etat d'esprit peux nous adier a trouver ce qu'est etre amoureux a nouveau et il est possible qu'aux travers de nos actions collectives nous puissions sauver la planete d'un desastre humanitaire / ecologique. 02 -Quel a ete ta premiere machine, ton premier style de musique ? Je n'ai jamais eu de style de musique. Ma 1ere machine etait un ordinateur Yamaha MSX avec une puce dx7 a l'interieure, j'avais 13 ans.
03 - Quel a etais ton premier studio complet, ta premiere config de live ? Ma 1ere configuration studio ? ca devait etre ....le studio de quelqu'un d'autre (rob playford, movin shadow recs)
04 - Quel est la premiere machine pour laquelle tu aurais tue ? Je ne suis pas un gars violent, les machines ne comptent pas pour moi, c'est ce qui est dans mon esprit et mon corps que je preserve, ca je tuerais pour le defendre si necessaire.
05 - Quel est ta premiere histoire d'amour avec un dancefloor ? 1ere histoire d'amour ? ma premiere rave, aout 1988, j'avais 15 ans, se deroulait dans une (mauvaise cave) gothic, j'etais sorti avec un t-shirt smiley et un bandana criant "aciiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeed" avec environ 600 autres personnes dans les rues de blackpool. Je m'en suis jamais remis.
06 - Y a-t-il une machine qui t'as toujours fait rever mais que tu n'as jamais eu l'occasion de jouer Synclavier. depeche mode a fait un album complet sur la chose, art of noise SWEAR BY THEM, trevor horn a ete paye par quelqu'un pour qu'il puisse toucher les boutons du sien, ils se vendent toujours a 250.000 euro 20 ans apres. 07: J'ai entendu dans une interview donne a "France Culture" qu'avec 69db, au debut, vous preferiez jouer avec des samplers alors que la plupart des chip jockeys utilisaient les TRs & TBs, peux tu nous en expliquer un peu plus ? Re-bonour, bon d'abord nous n'avions pas l'argent pour les 909 et 303, 2 tout le monde les utilisait, 3 tout les autres les utilisaient aussi, 4 nous avions besoin de materiel qui capture le temps dans lequel nous vivions, les samplers etaient parfait pour ca. Des drums qui tranche ce que l'on voyait, des samples qui refletent l'age dans lequel nous vivions, et qui convoyaient un message plus personnel venant de nos coeurs, pas si aise lorsque l'on traite avec une musique sans parole et en utilisant le meme materiel que tout le monde (nous ne chantions pas encore a cette epoque)
08: Quel est la plus grosse difference entre les vieux lives que vous avez joue, et ceux d'aujourd'hui (musicalement et techniquement) ? Nous savons trop ce que nous faisons actuelement. Ca a ses benefices et ses DRAWBACKS

PATTERNS ARE 2 BARS LONG INSTEAD OF 1.
OF COURSE, WRITING STUFF ON THE TRIPLETS, 3.6.12.24.48 ETC WILL ENABLE YOU
TO ? IF YOU USE THE TRIPLET WRITTEN PATTERNS AS THE MAIN FOCUS POINT, TO
SHIFT SPEEDS 3 TIMES WITHOUT CHANGING THE BPM. EG I WRITE A STRAIGHT 4/4
PATTERN AT 100 BPM BUT USING A QUANTIZE OF 6 FOR THE BASS DRUM, 12 OR 24 FOR
THE HI HATS, I CAN CROSS THIS PATTERN WITH A FASTER KIK WRITTEN ON A
QUANTIZE OF 8 OR A SLOWER ONE ON A QUANTIZE OF 4 WITH ITS RESPECTIVE
ACCOMPANYING PARTS? THUS GIVING THE ILLUSION OF 3 DIFFERENT BPM'S IN ONE
PATTERN.

OR GO AND REFILL WATER CANNISTERS? AT LEAST 10 CARS AN HOUR DURING THE DAY -

HAPPENS WHEN SOMEBODY ACCIDENTALLY SETS FIRE TO THE FIELD NEXT DOOR? ALL
